Something similar you already have in the vanilla CoP ;)

Right now I don't plan any work for CoP, have lots to do for SoC.

And... I was testing global illumination. It looks beautiful, but it eats most of my cycles :(

How did you saw that?... ;)

It's probably from bump mapping, it's quite much stronger than it was in vanilla shaders.

 

EDIT:

Ahh... the first time I was looking at it I didn't noticed what were you talking about... Now I can see it.

You can try for example increasing the shadow maps size up to 2048 or even higher (4096). The other thing to try is (I'm at my office right now and cannot check it out) - check if any "JITTER" option is turned on. If it is - turn it off.

 

When will the new version of your shaders?

I'm still working on some shadowing issues, although yesterday I made a progress on this. So... when? I don't know, few days?

I'm thinking of releasing DX8 shaders, too, for those with weak machines.

 

And - yes, I'll include two or three presets, so you can choose one of them, based on the power of your machine :)

You are using a modification "No zoom".

When shooting in aiming the AK is a lag, when the weapon as it enters the main character. Zoom_factor need to put 85.

That's true. There're places it looks awesome and there're places when it's overdone... Besides, it eats really lots of the power.

Why shadow from aktor's torch have a lot of ripple on edge? (like GTA4 on low graphic)

Yes, it's "bolota" :)

And the torch... I didn't put here all of my textures yet, and the torchlight depends on one of the textures. About which screenshot you're talking about? I'll check if it's only a texture or if there's some problem.

Oh, I saw the YouTube Video "Working on another shaders set".))

Those dx9 shaders look like a high quality dx8 shaders from build 1935. It's alsome! You need to show them to Lost Alpha modmakers.)))

I know, I'm slowly working on DX8 set, too - and dezodor should be ok with them ;)

 

Here's a video comparing vanilla shaders and my new set. Note both of them run with my textures, my weather system and my particles - so none of them are vanilla game:

utak3r, very cool screens of DX8! Good work!

 

but on first picture (top left corner) white walls have a lot of contrast (like a r2 bloom effect)

and "HUD-hands" is a very dark.

And trees on back plane (bottom right corner) is a brightly than sky (this error of original game) - can you fix it?

utak3r, thank you for ur amazing shaders. I've got a question: when I'm try to use ur shaders game kicks my ass and I am see a wonderful critical bug, that my video card doesnt support pixel shaders v 1.1, rofl, I have got a 8800gts. but when I start game with skyGraphics shaders everything is OK, and using a stock full dynamic lighting o simple dynamic lighting is OK too.

I can add that I used mix of your shaders and skyGraphics and everything was OK.

can you help me?:)

Hm, you shouldn't see that mesg... I was trying to avoid using hardware-specific functions. Can you take a look in the log, just right BEFORE the "FATAL ERROR" there should be a line telling what went wrong.

Are you sure it was a clean my pack? No other files?

 

On the other hand... Soon I'm gonna release the second version (which is totally without the use of Sky4CE and others).

Yes. it was a clean pack. I noticed that when i put "middle" preset into r2 directory game starts without any bugs. but when I've put "best" preset I got this error... Also I tested game with radeon x1950 and got similar situation.. here is a log:
